Internal Governance and Management
To ensure good internal governance and effective management of the organization programmes, World Voices Uganda put systems in place to act as a guide and to give a clear direction in day-today operations. WVU has a constitution in place and has put in place Financial management and administration manual, Personnel and volunteer management policy, Security protection and Risk management policy as well as developed a strategic plan and M&E mechanisms .
Organization structure

World Voices Uganda is a highly democratic, participatory organization with two administrative organs i.e. the Board and the Management/Secretariat. The WVU’s Board is of seven people charged with policy formulation and vetting the implementation of the policies and other organisation programs. It sits quarterly to give direction and approve all planned and accomplished issues. The Management’s function is to upshot the day- to-day operations of the organisation.

The Board is composed of vibrant, professional and experienced women and men of integrity who are self motivated to serve for the betterment of the communities. The members of the Board consist of founders and members selected from within the communities.  They include:-

  Members of Staff and Volunteers
Currently WVU has a team of Nine qualified staff and volunteers charged with implementation of the programme activities headed by the Executive Director as the Team Leader. Most of the staff members give service on voluntary basis. However, World Voices Uganda has trained ten Public Expenditure Truckers, Twenty Anti-corruption community monitors and twenty Civic educators as well as sub county and parish peace committees all based in the communities who help in boosting the meager staff that we have at the secretariat. WVU believes in team work, learning and voluntarism as the motivator for action and thence welcomes anybody who would wish to volunteer with us to create impact and can add value to the organization.

However, the organization from time to time uses the services of external personnel from partner organisations and members of the board to backstop and boost the existing staff. These external facilitators are persons with experience and professional expertise drawn from private consultancies, Civil Society and Government fraternity.
